The Daily Bark philosophy

This isn’t an “exercise them till they’re tired” kind of program, nor is it a transactional, “one and done” service. It’s about building a genuine relationship and taking the time to discover what they love, what motivates them, and what gets their tail wagging — and then incorporating those activities into a customized program that is unique to each dog. True enrichment is where the boredom ends and the adventure begins.

It’s simple: Treat each dog like the individual they are.

Our Story

When Dylan came to me, I made her a promise: a life filled with love, safety, and a world full of adventure. Her life would not be defined by what had happened to her in the past. Together, we’ve delivered on that promise, from simple trips to the neighborhood park to road trips halfway across the country. Through it all, everything became an adventure.

As I watched Dylan explore the world, I saw firsthand how these new experiences built up her confidence and brought out her fun, silly personality. It made me a firm believer that showing dogs a world beyond their own backyard is vital to a healthy, holistic lifestyle.

Regular enrichment does more than just burn energy. It satisfies a dog’s innate drive to explore, reinforces positive behaviors, and promotes relaxation and contentment. It’s especially transformative for anxious or reactive dogs who thrive in a low-stress, 1-on-1 environment away from overwhelming triggers.

Every dog is an individual with their own personality, ideas, and temperament. They spend their lives adapting to us and our busy schedules. I founded The Daily Bark because we owe them the space, time, and freedom to just be a dog — and to do all the doggy things they love.

Kellie Benn: Chief Engagement Officer

Chief Engagement Officer Kellie Benn grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania spending her summers riding horses and working at a local dog kennel, cultivating her lifelong love of animals.

She served eight years as a Russian linguist in the Army and went on to pursue a career in journalism, working for local newspapers and most recently a health publishing company.

And that’s the short version. She has never been one to sit still for too long and is a big believer in taking chances and never saying no to what could be a great adventure. The result is a life that’s taken more than a few left turns and a lot of interesting stories. Along the way, she’s lived in seven states (some more than once!) and two countries. This is her second stint in Florida.

She has lived in Pensacola since 2022 and is excited about serving all the pups in this vibrant community!

Dylan: Dog-in Chief

Dylan is a 3.5-year-old rescue pittie mix with a heart of gold and a love for adventure. While her full history is unknown, she has overcome a lot of adversity in her short life to get to where she is today — which is living her best life with Kellie!

She loves a good zoomie sesh (multiple times a day!) and whatever your idea of enough tug is, Dylan disagrees. There can never be enough tug! She’s the best snuggler, and she’s always there to offer a helping paw when things get a little rough.

She serves a variety of roles at The Daily Bark, including official mascot, adventure tester and chief morale officer. All adventures have been thoroughly tested by her and received her paw of approval!

Adventures built on safety and trust

Entrusting your dog to someone else is a big decision, and I take that trust very seriously. While our focus is always on fun and exploration, safety is the foundation of every adventure.

How we protect your pup:

  • Certified and insured: Fully insured and trained in Pet CPR and First Aid, with a specialized pet first aid kit on hand at all times.

  • Safe transport: Securely restrained in the rear vehicle seats using safety harnesses/seatbelts or travel kennels.

  • Low-risk environment: Managed 1-on-1 to eliminate chaotic group dynamics and control external triggers as much as possible.
